Each month Maghreb Ciné brings fantastic films from and of the Maghreb and its diasporas to Rabbits Road Institute. Films are usually preceded by a short intro by a relevant presenter and relaxed discussion after.
Our next screening is Adiós Carmen.
In 1975, 10-year-old Amar lives in a village in northern Morocco with his violent uncle, waiting for the unlikely return of his mother, who has left for Belgium. He finds a friend in Carmen, his neighbour and a Spanish exile working at the village cinema, who helps him discover a world previously unknown to him.
Tickets on the door: £6 (concessions £5) Doors open 6.30pm, film starts 7.15pm
