Le Grand Voyage (The Great Journey)
March 10, 2017 6.30pm, £5, Concessions £4
Le Grand Voyage (directed by Ismaël Ferroukhi) portrays a relationship between a father and son who embark on a religious pilgrimage trip by car. As both proceed on a road trip to Mecca thousands of miles away, the once-icy father-and-son relationship starts to thaw as both gradually come to know each other. This is a film that looks at relationships between east and west, modern and traditional, religious and not-so-religious.
