May 14, 2016 2–4pm, Free
Creative art workshop – make and paint your own placards for protest, led by artist Laura X Carle , for children and young people.
Laura X Carle works primarily with sculpture. The themes of her work come from situations that she witnesses in the social space. She produces objects and installations that aspire to challenge the spectator to question their own perceptions. She works as a freelance Artist Educator running workshops for families, schools and community groups in major art galleries and art organisations across UK.
Make a Protest! is part of monthly series of Saturday creative children’s workshops The Story of Money, exploring and questioning our relationship to money. Devised in collaboration with Laura X Carle by The Alternative School of Economics.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
